Humphrey Law Wool Sock in Charcoal

Also known as the Winter Health Sock®, this premium heavy-knit wool sock is made from 90% Australian fine merino wool which does not prickle or itch and feels silky soft. These socks have a wool terry sole for warmth, softness and comfort. A Health Sock® with no tight elastic top.

Contents: 90% Fine Merino wool, 8% Polyester, 1% Nylon, 1% Elastane.

Washing instructions: Short warm wash on medium cycle. Wash with similar colours. May be tumble dried warm. Do not bleach.

In 1947 Sidney Humphrey and Albert Law formed a partnership to make socks in Australia. They built a factory on land that had been a lemon orchard in the bush at Heathmont , Victoria. Sockmaking continues under the management of Albert Law’s children Rob and Elizabeth. Humphrey Law continues to make socks wholly in Australia. That way, they can ensure their quality in a way that is simply not possible for importers whose manufacturing is distant from them.  More importantly Humphrey Law provides employment for Australians and keeps some manufacturing capacity in Australia.
