Jali is a classical architectural style in India dating back to the 16th Century. Is it depicted by carved perforated holes, usually cut into stone.
Handmade by an artisan group based in Sri Ram Colony, East Delhi. This area houses many internal migrants that live in informal settlements with very insecure work. The artisan group provides dignified work according to Fair Trade principles that helps to empower women to be economically independent and ensure their children can complete their education.
