About Dana
Dana Kinter is an artist living and making on Kaurna land, South Australia. Drawing from the natural environment, Dana has created a signature style that embraces Australia’s native flora and fauna. Dana employs a subdued colour palette with emphasis on the natural characteristics of her materials, using pencil and acrylic on timber in her paintings.
Her art reflects a harmonious blend of influences, from the bold confident brushwork of indigenous Australian art to the geometric and floral patterns of Islamic art and the intricate repetitive designs of woodblock hand printing found in North India. Dana's pieces carry a spiritual essence, complemented by carefully curated titles drawn from the works of renowned poets such as Ghalib, Neruda, Elia, and Rumi.
